This video shows how I make Turkey Chili in the crockpot.
I got this recipe from Pinterest when we were doing Whole30.
I do modify it when we are not doing Whole30.
Below is both the modified recipe & Whole30 recipe.

Modified Recipe
1 lb Ground Turkey (we use 99% fat free)
1 onion chopped (any onion will do)
1 Tbsp minced Garlic (we really like garlic, so you can modify this amount if you want)
2 cups carrots sliced
4-6 potatoes washed & cubed (depending on size)
2 14.5oz cans Petite Deiced Tomatoes
2 14.5oz cans Tomato Sauce
1 can beans, rinsed (any beans that you like)
2 cans chili beans
1/4 cup Chili Powder
Instructions
1. Add chopped onion and minced garlic in a pre-heated large saucepan. Make sure to spray with cooking spray or use EVOO to coat pan. Sauté until translucent.
2. Add Ground Turkey. Cook until done
3. Place turkey mixture in Crockpot. (spray with cooking spray or use Crockpot liner for easy cleanup)
4. Add all other ingredients, stir well
5. Put on low 8 hours, or high 4 hours.
**You can also simmer on the stove until carrots and potatoes are cooked through
Original Whole30 Recipe
2 lbs hamburger
1 red onion chopped
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 can tomato sauce 29.5 ounces
2 cups petite diced tomatoes with juice
3 cups beef stock
1 cup carrots sliced
5 cups sweet potatoes peeled and cubed
2 bay leaves
1/2 teaspoon thyme
2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
1/2 cup chili powder
dash of oregano
dash of red pepper flakes
1. In a large saucepan, brown hamburger, onions and garlic. Drain off the fat.
2. Add the remaining ingredients to the saucepan. Mix well, bring to a boil and simmer, covered, for about 30-40 minutes or until the sweet potatoes and carrots are cooked through.
3.Remove and discard the bay leaves. Then serve!
**Slow Cooker Option: Instead of simmering the chili on the stove, you can brown the ground beef, drain off the fat and place it into the slow cooker. Add the other ingredients and let it simmer on low all day (6-8 hours on high for 4-5 hours).**
