Hello! In today’s video I’ll show you how to make sweet and savory roasted almonds. These are the perfect snack when you want something quick. This recipe also uses “sprouted” almonds which is totally optional but it makes them easier for your body to digest!
To sprout the almonds, I soaked 4 C. raw almonds with 2 tsp. salt in a glass container filled with water, making sure the almonds are completely submerged. Let soak for 8-12 hours. Drain the almonds and rinse well. Lay the almonds on a baking sheet, cover with paper towel and let dry for 1 week or longer. (I let mine sit in the oven so they wouldn’t get dusty). The almonds will be ready when they are crunchy when bitten, not soft.
Here are the ingredients you’ll need:
Chili roasted almonds:
2 C. almonds (raw, sprouted)
1 egg white
2 TBSP chili lime seasoning (I use the Trader Joe’s one)
1/2 tsp. onion salt
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/8 tsp. cayenne powder
Cinnamon roasted almonds:
2 C. almonds (raw, sprouted)
1 egg white
1 TBSP cinnamon
2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1/2 C. monk fruit sweetener
1/2 tsp. vanilla stevia
There are roughly 2g net carbs per each 1/4 C. serving
