Easy Smokehouse Chipotle Chili Con Carne

If you’re looking for a tasty but not too spicy smokehouse style chili recipe, this one is for you.

Ingredients:
1 pound lean ground beef
1 large yellow onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ground chipotle chili pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground oregano leaves
1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
1 14.5-ounce can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 16-ounce can red kidney beans, undrained

Directions:
-Cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic together in a saucepan or Dutch oven until beef is browned; drain thoroughly.
-Stir in the remaining ingredients except for the beans.
-Bring to a boil and then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
-Stir in beans and heat to boiling, then reduce heat and simmer for an additional 20 minutes or until desired thickness.
-Serve as is or with your favorite toppings.
