Camp Chef Griddle Chili (Copycat Wendy's Chili on the Flat Top Grill 600)

Wendy’s Chili is arguably my favorite chili and I decided to make in on the Camp Chef Griddle. Supposedly the secret to there chili is that they use the left over hamburger meet from there flat top grill. Well I decided to make hamburgers first on my Camp Chef Flat Top Grill 600 then chop them up and use them as the meat. I smashed the burgers down to get a nice sear on them and while they were cooking I put the rest of the ingredients in my dutch oven right on t the griddle.

The griddle will warm the dutch oven up and it holds its heat really well so theoretically you could cook this whole thing on the griddle and leave it on there to simmer. I didn’t do this because there was no reason to waste my propane when I can finish it on my stove. However if you were camping or were cooking all day at a tailgate you could def let it simmer on the griddle for a few hours and it would turn out fine.

Cooking the beef and veggies on the griddle was great for getting the sear I wanted and made clean up a lot easier. I would definitely recommend giving this a try if you own a Camp Chef or Blackstone Griddle.
