This is a recipe to make Brisket Chili. The following are the ingredients used and instructions.
2 cups diced onion
1/4 cup chopped jalepenos
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon black pepper (to start, more later)
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt (to start, more later)
Put all of the above in medium sized pot over medium heat. Cook until vegetables are tender
Add the following and bring to a boil. Then let simmer for 20 minutes
32 oz beef stock
28 oz crushed tomato
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 1/2 tablespoons of Kosher salt
1 1/2 tablespoons of tomato paste
1 1/2 teaspoons chipotle powder
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon cumin
After simmering, add 1-2 pounds of brisket chili (
Mix 1 cup warm water with 2 tablespoons of Maseca and add to chili
Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring frequently so meat doesn’t settle to the bottom.
