This Chili is a fantastic alternative to the traditional red chili made with pinto beans and beef. It’s base is a green verde sauce, paired white beans (navy beans) and shredded chicken. Give it a try.
1 lb. white beans
1 bell pepper chopped
2-3 chicken breasts
3 tsp garlic, minced
1 1/2 c. onion
1 tsp. Salt
2 TB jalapeño
3 1/2 c. Chicken broth
Green verde salsa
3 TB cumin
1 tsp oregano
2 t. red peper flakes
3 roasted Anaheim
1-2 c. FF plain yogurt (added after cooking)
Cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-5 hours. Add yogurt and warm. Serve with FF sour cream and homemade tortilla chips.
