Ingredients:
1 lb Chicken pieces, with bones (500g)
Chettinad masala paste:
1 1/2 tbsp Coriander seeds
2 nos Dry red Chillies
2 tsp Cumin seeds
1 1/2 tsp Fennel seeds
1 tbsp Pepper corns
3/4 tbsp Split Bengal gram / chana dal
2 no Cardamom
3 nos Cloves
2 inch Cinnamon stick
1 nos Star Aniseed
1 no Mace
1 no Bay leaf
1 no Marathi moggu
2 to 3 pieces Stone flower
2 1/2 tbsp Grated Dry coconut / copra
6 to 8 nos Curry leaves
1/4 cup Water
To make Chicken Gravy:
1/4 cup Gingerly oil / sesame oil OR cooking oil
1 tsp Fennel seeds
4 nos Dry red chili
1 cup Shallots, finely chopped OR regular onion
6 to 8 nos Curry leaves
1 1/2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
1.5 tsp Salt (as required)
2 nos Tomato, medium size
1 1/2 cup Water
Garnishing: Coriander leaves
