Ingredients:
For marinating:
Boneless chicken – 1 kg
Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
Pepper powder – 1/2 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
White vinegar – 1 tsp
Cornflour – 3 tbsp
All-purpose flour – 2 tbsp
Oil – 1 tbsp
1 egg
Salt
For the sauce:
Water – 1 cup
Soy sauce – 1 tbsp
Chili sauce – 2 tbsp
Ketchup – 1 tbsp
Vinegar – 1 tbsp
Cornflour – 1 tbsp
For frying:
Bell pepper, onion, ginger, garlic & green chilies
Pepper powder – 1 tbsp
Salt
Steps:
In a bowl add 1 kg boneless chicken. Add 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tbsp pepper powder, 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste, and 1 tsp white vinegar. Mix well. Add 1 egg, 3 tbsp cornflour, 2 tbsp of all-purpose flour, 1 tbsp oil, and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder to the chicken. Keep aside and marinate for at least 2 hours.
Heat a pan on medium flame. Add oil and fry the chicken pieces on both sides until golden brown.
In another bowl add 1 cup water, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp chili sauce, 1 tbsp Ketchup, 1 tbsp vinegar, and 1 tbsp cornflour. Mix all the sauces together.
In a pot heat 1 tbsp oil on high flame. Add in slightly chopped bell pepper, onion, Minced ginger and garlic, and thin-sliced green chilies. Add salt. Saute for 30 seconds on high flame.
Lower the heat then add in the sauce mix. Bring to a boil. Add 1 tbsp pepper powder. Finally, add in the fried chicken pieces. Garnish with spring onions.
