• 1 lb ground beef (454g), preferably 80% lean
• 1 ½ tsp kosher salt
• 2 tsp chili powder
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp onion powder
• ¼ tsp cayenne
• ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
• 1 Tbsp prepared yellow mustard (16g)
• 2 tsp light brown sugar
• 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
• 1 cup finely chopped sweet white onion (140g)
• 1 8-oz can tomato sauce (225g)
• ¼ cup water (59g)
Hot Dogs
• 8 beef hot dogs (beef)
• 8 hot dog buns
• Hot dog relish, for serving
• Finely chopped white onion, for serving
• Shredded sharp cheddar, for serving (optional)
• Yellow mustard, for serving (optional)
