YC’s Chili Con Carne
Approx. 2 1/2 pounds ground beef (add all to large stew pot)
1 medium onion chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
1 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. black pepper, 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper, 1 tsp. chili powder, 1 tsp. cumin, tsp. onion powder, 1/2 tsp. chili pepper seeds,
plus two packs of Hot Chili mix
2 cans (14.5 oz. ) stewed tomatoes
1 (28 oz.) can of crushed tomatoes
2 cans kidney beans, 2 cans of Mexican Chili beans
2 to 4 tblsp. of SUGAR (most important ingredient)
1 bay leaf
Sautee garlic and onion in a little olive oil, add ground beef and brown then drain fat. Add all other ingredients and simmer for 3 1/2 to 4 hours on really low.
Top with your favorite toppings. Enjoy! Too spicy? add 1/2 cup ketchup!
