Ingredients
– 500g beef mince (@falleninchfarm)
– oil
– 1 x pepper
– 1 x large onion
– 1 x tsp garlic powder
– 1 x tsp ground cumin
– 1 x tsp ground coriander
– 1 x tsp chilli powder
– 1 x tsp oregano
– 1 x paprika
– 1 x tsp salt
– 1/2 x tsp smoked paprika
– 1/2 tsp x chilli flakes
– 500ml passata
– 2 x tbsp tomato purée
– 1 x tin kidney beans
– soured cream & coriander (optional)
– rice/chips/nachos/baked potato – you choose 😉
Method
1. Finely dice pepper & onion – add to pan with oil and allow to soften
2. Add beef mince & all dried herbs and spices – combine & brown off mince
3. Add passata (rinse tin or carton out with water), tomato purée & kidney beans and simmer on medium heat for approx 1hr
4. Season if necessary and serve 🙌🏼
Alternative: you can add the mixture into slow cooker at Step 3 and cook on low for 6-8hrs, then reduce on hob afterwards if you want to thicken the sauce a little.
