One of the favorite dish of Rabindranath Tagore. A very simple form of chicken curry prepared with limited spices. It’s a pure bliss. Goalondo is a small town on the bank of river Padma in Bangladesh. There is train station in goalondo and people used to take steamer from there to Narayanganj for any connecting train to east bengal in pre-partition era. Its a overnight journey and the boatmen used to prepare a light chicken curry in the middle of the river with very few ingredients as they were not available with much spices. Later the curry got famous among passengers. It used to be served to Rabindranath tagore during the steamer ride in East Bengal. Mustard oil is a must for this recipe. Easy to cook and delicious in taste.
