Hey lovelies,
This is my first youtube video and I am starting with my favourite dish ever! I would normally order ramen from Wagamama but I have really experimented with my own ramen broth and I think it’s way better than Wagamama now that I have perfected it.
Heres my written recipe:
Ingredients
– 1.5 -1.7 L of water (a whole kettle)
– 3 chicken stock or stock pot cubes
– A few red chillies
– 2 wooden spoons of soya sauce
– 2 wooden spoons of rice wine or black rice vinegar
– 2 wooden spoons of Worcestershire sauce
– 1 squirt of sriracha sauce
– 1 wooden spoons of sesame oil
– 2 whole spring onions
– Coriander
– Parsley
– 1-2 limes
– Half a whole garlic
– Chinese 5 spice
– 1 tsp of sugar
– 1tsp of butter
– 2 eggs
– Stir fry mix (bean sprouts, cabbage, bamboo shoots etc)
instant rice vermicelli noodles
Method:
1. Chop all the veg and herbs.
2. Put eggs on to boil.
3. Fill the pan or pot with boiling water.
4. Turn the pan on medium heat add 3 stock cubes and stir until it dissolves.
5. Add half the herbs and limes, all the garlic and pepper, also squeeze some of the lime and stir!
6. Add the liquids – soya sauce, black rice vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, sriracha sauce, sesame oil.
7. Add the Chinese five spice and stir.
8. Put the broth on a low heat (6-7) and let simmer for 20-25 mins.
9. Add the rest of the herbs (but leave some for the garnish!!)
10. Turn the heat up and add the stir fry mix for only 2 minutes, you don’t want the bean sprouts soggy!
11. Preparing the bowl, add the rice noodles to the bottom, add the eggs (cut in half), garnish with herbs on top along with a few slices of lime.
ENJOY!!!
