Description: A quick and simple chicken recipe cooked with bell peppers .
The recipe uses boneless chicken and Chinese sauces to make it little sweet and tangy.
This goes well with steamed rice or can even be served as a starter.

Ingredients (Chicken Coating)

Boneless chicken cubes: 500 gms
Salt: 1/2 tsp
Crushed black pepper: 1 tsp
Minced garlic: 1.5 tsp
Egg white: 1 egg medium
Cornflour: 2 Tbsp

Ingredients(Frying)
——————–
Oil – For Frying

Ingredients (Sauce Mix)

Dark soya sauce – 2 tbsp
Red Chili Sauce- 1 tbsp
Oyster Sauce- 1 tbsp
Vinegar – 1tsp
Crushed black pepper: 1 tsp
Salt – as per taste (Remember that the sauces added already has little salt in it )
Brown sugar: 1 tbsp ( Alternatively, Honey – 1 tbsp)
Water – 1/4 cup

Ingredients (During Cooking)

Oil – 1.5 tbsp
Chopped Garlic – 1 tbsp
Ginger – 1tsp
Onions – 1 cup (Cut into squares)
Mixed Bell Peppers – 3/4 cup
Cornflour Slurry(corn flour mixed with water) – 1-2 tsp
Green onions (Spring Onions) – 1.5 tbsp
Toasted sesame- 1 tsp

Garnish – Green onions and toasted sesame

Method
——–
1. In a bowl, take boneless chicken. Add Salt, Crushed black pepper, Minced garlic, Egg white . Mix everything well. Then add cornflour .
Massage the entire batch with hands so that the coating is uniform.
2. Take oil in a pan for frying. Put the chicken pieces (one at a time, so that it doesn’t stick to each other).
Fry for 3-4 mins on one side and turn each piece to cook on other side. Take it out in a kitchen towel .
4. For the sauce – Add dark soya sauce, red chilli sauce , oyster sauce , brown sugar , salt , crushed black pepper, vinegar and little water .Mix well
5. Take little oil in a pan . Add finely chopped garlic , garlic . Saute for a min & then add onions , bell peppers( cut into squares) and saute on high heat for a 2-3 mins.
6. Add the sauce mix prepared earlier and then add the fried chicken cubes. Saute again for 2 mins and then add cornflour slurry to thicken the sauce.
7. You will notice that the sauce will become thick & it will darken in color .
7. Add spring onions, toasted sesame and serve hot . Enjoy:)
