I made this Chili Recipe using a Chili Seasoning Kit from Sucklebusters. The Chili Seasoning Kit was part of a package sent to me by The Grill Masters Club which is a monthly BBQ subscription service The seasoning kit that I used was the Texas Chili variety. They also have a Ghost Chili and Competition Chili Kits.
The Chili Kit I used has won Chile Pepper Magazine winner 2 years running!
This Chili has a different flavor profile than the Homemade Chili Recipe that I use, but it was really good. I think I would have preferred the ghost pepper chili as this chili was a little on the mild side for me.
The only issue with the chili was that the directions were a little vague. For example it says add 1 pound of chili meat. A suggestion on the type of meat would have been great. It also says add one can of soup and one can of beef broth. No size was indicated, and there are a few different size cans of both beef broth and tomato soup. I assumed that they meant the smallest size cans since this Chili Kit only made enough for 6 servings.
I think this Chili Kit would be great for someone that is a novice cook, or doesn’t have their own chili recipe.
