5 Ingredient CHILI || Easy & Quick || How to RECIPE

There are sooooo many chili recipes out there! Finding one can be overwhelming! This recipe is a great “basic” chili. It’s super easy and fast. You only need 5 ingredients! {BEEF, TOMATOES, CHILI POWDER, ONION, BEANS } There are so many ways you could customize this recipe to your specific tastes too. I like mine with cheese and sour cream, YUM!
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. ground beef
1 small white onion, diced
3 (15 oz.) cans diced tomatoes with green chiles ***(If green chilis are TOO spicy for you, use regular tomatoes)***
2 (15 oz.) cans kidney beans, drained
2 Tbsp. chili powder
(optional toppings: shredded cheese, chopped green onions, sour cream, cilantro, etc.)
DIRECTIONS:
-Brown Meat in a large stockpot, drain grease if needed
-Add onions, cook until soft
-Add remaining ingredients and water to the stockpot, and stir to combine.
-Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes. [SALT TO TASTE]
-Add your favorite toppings AND enjoy!
This recipe can also be made in the slow cooker. You just need to brown your meat on the stove and drain it before adding the meat to your slow cooker. Then slow cook the chili on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
