Chili

Growing up, I hated chili. Maybe my taste buds changed or maybe it was just my mom’s chili that I didn’t like. (Sorry mom!) 🤣

I now love chili! My entire family loves it too. I always scoop out a big bowl for myself before adding in beans for my family. šŸ™Œ

RECIPE:
1. In a skillet, brown 1 lb of ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess grease.
2. Stir in 2 tbsp of my homemade chili seasoning (recipe below šŸ‘‡) and 1/3 cup of water.
3. In a large pot/saucepan, cook 1/2 of a chopped, yellow onion and 2 tsp of minced garlic until the onion is translucent.
4. Add the chili meat to the pot and stir.
5. Stir in one 8oz can of tomato sauce, 1 can of diced tomatoes, 1/2 cup of water, 1/4 tsp of curry powder and 1/4 tsp salt.
6. Cover with a lid and let it simmer over medium-low heat for 5-10 minutes.

KETO CHILI SEASONING:
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp paprika
1.5 tbsp chili powder
3/4 tbsp cumin
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tbsp nutritional yeast
*Mix all of the ingredients together and store in a jar or air-tight container.
