Homemade, Low Sodium, Gluten Free and Diabetic Friendly Chili Powder
Make your own chili powder at home. You can keep your sodium levels down and ensure everything is Gluten Free. It is quick and easy to make. Most ingredients are probably already in your pantry.
Try adjusting the amount of smoked paprika and cayenne to meet your tastes.
Please note that we used Garlic and Onion POWDER and NOT SALTS. This is to keep the sodium levels down. If sodium is not an issue, Garlic and Onion Salt can be used, but it will increase the sodium level of the recipe. Also, If desired, and salt is not an issue, you could add about 1/4T to the recipe to help keep it from clumping.
This version has no sugars added.
**For the quantity normally consumed in one serving of PREPARED CHILI, this recipe would be LOW OXALATES as well. For other recipes, this recipe might or might not be low oxalates.
