Overnight winter camp on Indian Lake in the Adirondack Mountains, New York. December 28-29, 2019. Pulled a sled carrying gear to cook a delicious Dutch Oven Chili dinner over the camp fire.
This was the first time using my Nemo Hornet 2P, 3 season tent, it withstood these conditions well. My winter gear kept me toasty warm. Temps were in the low 30* Fahrenheit in the afternoon and dropped down to 20*F by sunrise. Listened to the winds over the lake and the soothing sounds of the ice crackling and rumbling as the temperatures changed. Had a little fun ice “skating” and sledding 🙂
