Ginataang Manok with Papaya| Chicken with Papaya cooked in Coconut Milk| Simple Healthy Recipe

Ginataang Chicken with Papaya is a filipino dish. It’s very simple, healthy and yummy recipe that cook with coconut milk, papaya then you can add any green leaf like pechay or malungay.

Ingredients:
1 kilo whole chicken, cut into serving pieces
5 pieces cloves of garlic, chopped
1 big red onion, chopped
1 thumb size of ginger, sliced or strips
1 small green papaya, sliced or (you can use a sayote if you have)
1 bunch of pechay or (you use a malungay)
1 piece of long green chili, cut into cubes
2 pieces of thai chili (optional)
2 cups of coconut milk
2 tablespoon of cooking oil
1 1/2 tablespoon of fish sauce
1/2 teaspoon of cracked whole pepper corn
1 piece of chicken broth
Note: chicken season with salt and let it rest while we are preparing the other ingredients.

Procedure:
1. Heat oil and saute onions, garlic and ginger.
2. Once becomes aromatic then you can
3 Add the chicken, cover and simmer for 1 minute until the fats of the chicken it will come out.
4. after 1 minute later, mix it and flip the chicken cover it again for a minute then
5, Add fish sauce
6. Add long green chili chopped, and thai chili
7. Add crushed whole pepper corn and add chicken broth
8. Add the pechay, cover it for 2-3 minutes until a bit soft
9. add the stem of the pechay
10. then the last one the leaves of the pechay for 30 seconds.
11. Check the taste
