Sausage Chilli Fry | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Chicken sausages tossed is spicy chilli sauce. A twist to the popular chicken chilli recipe.

SAUSAGE CHIILI FRY

Ingredients

5-6 chicken sausages, cut into ½ inch pieces
2-3 green chillies, slit
2 tablespoons oil
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1 inch ginger, finely chopped
1 medium onion, thickly sliced
1 medium green capsicum, sliced
1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
1 tablespoon green chilli sauce
Salt to taste
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
2-3 tablespoons cornstarch slurry
Diagonally sliced spring onion greens for garnishing

Method

1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan. Add chicken sausages, mix and cook till golden brown or till done.
2. Heat remaining oil in another non-stick pan. Add garlic and ginger and sautƩ for 30 seconds. Add green chillies and sautƩ for 30 seconds.
3. Add onion and sautƩ for 30 seconds. Add capsicum and sautƩ for 1 minute. Add soy sauce and green chilli sauce and mix well.
4. Add cooked chicken sausages and mix. Add salt and crushed peppercorns, mix and cook for 1 minute.
5. Add 3-4 tablespoons water and mix. Add cornstarch slurry, mix and cook till the mixture thickens.
6. Serve hot garnished with spring onion greens.
