Promise Kitchen With Michelle | Daniel Fast Recipes | Episode 1- Vegan Chili

During the 21 days of prayer and fasting we understand it can be tricky or hard to know what to cook specially if this is your first time joining us on the fast! Check out the first episode of Promise kitchen as Michelle teaches us how to cook a Daniel Fast approved Vegan chili!

Here Are the Ingredients and Steps as seen in this video:

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
1/2 medium onion, chopped
2 bay leaves

1 teaspoon ground cumin
2 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon salt
2 stalks celery, chopped
2 green bell peppers, chopped
2 jalapeno peppers, chopped
3 cloves garlic, chopped
2 (4 ounce) cans chopped green chili peppers, drained

1 (13 Ounce) package vegetarian ground beef

1 cans whole peeled tomatoes, crushed
1 can tomato sauce
1 can tomato paste
1/4 cup chili powder

1 tablespoon ground black pepper

1 (15 Ounce) can kidney beans drained
1 (15 Ounce) can black beans drained

Step 1 :
Heat the Olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Stir in the onions, bay leaves, cumin, oregano, salt, all the peppers, garlic, mix in vegan ground beef, reduce heat to low, mix it and let it simmer for about 5 – 7 minutes.
Step 2 :
Bring heat up to medium, mix the tomatoes into the pot and season chili with chili powder and pepper. Stir in the Kidney beans and Black beans. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover the pot and let continue cooking for 15 minutes.
