Street-style Soya Fry Recipe:
Soya Chunks – 1 cup
Kashmiri Chilli Powder – 1 tbsp
Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp
Salt – ½ tsp
Black Pepper Powder – ¼ tsp
Msg – ¼ tsp
Maida – ¼ cup
Cornflour – 3 tbsp
Water – ¼ Cup
For Tossing :
Oil
Garlic (finely chopped) – 1 tbsp
Ginger (finely chopped) – 1 inch
Soya Sauce – 1 tbsp
Chilli Sauce – 3 tbsp
Tomato Ketchup – ½ cup
Onion (finely chopped) – For Garnish
Coriander leaves (finely chopped) – For Garnish
Cooking Instructions:
1. Wash and soak the soya in hot water till it becomes soft. Strain it, squeeze the water off it and keep it aside.
2. In a bowl, mix the rest of the ingredients. Add water and mix it well.
3. Add the soya chunks, mix it till it is coated evenly. Let it marinate for about 30 minutes.
3. Heat oil in a kadai. Deep fry the soya chunks till it becomes slightly crispy.
4. Take it off the oil and keep it on a plate with tissue paper to let the oil drain off.
5. Heat a pan with oil. Add ginger and garlic, saute it for a minute or 2.
6. Add the 3 sauces and mix it till it all combines evenly.
7. Add the soya chunks to it, toss it till it is evenly coated.
8. Transfer it to a bowl/plate. Garnish it with chopped onions and coriander leaves. Serve it hot.
