Easy Creamy BUTTER CHICKEN at Home | Restaurant Butter Chicken Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
Marinade:
2 pounds cubed chicken thighs
1/2 tsp. Kosher salt
juice of lemon
*Mix above thoroughly
3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
2 tsp. minced garlic
2 tsp. minced ginger
2 tsp. red chili powder
2 tsp. Garam Masala
*Mix above ingredients and let marinate for 2 hours or overnight
Bake at 425 degrees for 10-13 minutes and 1-2 minutes under high broiler.

1/4 cup butter + 2 Tbsp.
1 finely diced large onion
4 large cloves minced garlic
1 thumb or 2 tsp. minced ginger
20 oz. diced tomatoes and juice
1 cup water
1 cup cream

Spices:
1/4 tsp. kosher salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
2 Dark cardamom
1 Cinnamon stick
1 Bay leaf
1 Tbsp. Garam Masala
2 tsp. red chilli powder
1 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1/2 tsp. coriander powder

In skillet on medium heat add 1/4 cup unsalted butter and diced onion.
Cook and stir for 3 minutes.
Add minced garlic and ginger. Cook and stir for one minute.
Add spices. Cook and stir for one minute.

Add tomatoes and juices. Stir and bring up to simmer. Cook and stir for 5 minutes.
Add water. Stir, bring up to simmer, cover and cook for 10 minutes.

Remove bay leaf, cinnamon stick and cardamom.
Add cream. Stir to incorporate.
Use hand blender to break down tomatoes and make sauce creamy – can be a little textured.

Add 2 Tbsp. butter and chicken pieces. Stir and cook for 2-3 minutes or until the chicken
is heated through.

Garnish with cilantro/parsley and chopped green onions.

Serve with steamed Basmati rice. Enjoy.
