Chili

5 lbs ground beef
1 onion diced
4-6 cloves garlic chopped
Seasoning salt, salt & pepper to taste
-Brown ground beef with onion, garlic, salts and pepper. Drain.
Add:
2 heaping Tbs Mexican oregano
1/2 tsp sugar
2 heaping Tbs cumin
4 heaping Tbs chili powder
1/2 tsp red Cayenne pepper
2 tsp salt
1 bunch cilantro chopped or 1 heaping Tb dried cilantro leaves
29 oz. can tomato sauce
28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
15 oz. can crushed tomatoes
10 oz. can diced tomatoes with chilies
12 oz. can tomato paste
Tomato paste can full of water
-Mix well. Bring up to boil. Simmer for an hour stirring occasionally.
I remove half to freeze and add 2-3 cans of beans with juice. I use pinto, chili beans and kidney beans. Warm another 15 minutes or so.
Serve with favorite toppings.
