Kagzi Samosa Chaat
Ingredients for Kagzi Samosa:
Onion (chopped) ½ cup
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Red Chili powder 1 tsp
Red Chili Flakes ½ tsp
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Coriander powder 1½ tsp
Potatoes (boiled & grated) 3 cups
Salt 1 tsp or to taste
Green Chillies (chopped) 1 tbsp
Coriander (chopped) 2 tbsp
Samosa Patti
Flour mixture (for binding)
Oil (for frying)
Ingredients for Tamarind Chanay:
Boiled Chickpeas 2 cups
Tamarind pulp ½ cup
Chat Masala 1½ tsp
Ingredients for Assembling:
Kaghazi Samosas 6-8
Yogurt (beaten) as req
Tamarind chanay as req
Red Chutney as req
Onion (chopped) as req
Kurkure (Red Chili Jhatka) 1 packet
Pomegranate seeds as req
Chaat masala as req
Coriander as req
Directions for Kaghzi Samosa Preparation:
1. In a bowl add potatoes, onion, cumin seeds, red chili powder, red chili flakes, turmeric powder, coriander powder, green chilies, coriander and mix well. your potato mixture is ready.
2. Take a samosa patti, shape it in the form of a cone, place the potato mixture in it and seal it using flour mixture.
3. Deepy fry the samosas in oil until golden brown and crispy. Take out and transfer on a plate.
Directions for Tamarind Chanay:
4. In a bowl, add boiled chickpeas, tamarind pulp, and chat masala. Toss well and keep aside.
Directions for Assembling:
5. Add a layer of Tamarind chanay, place the samosas on top. Top with yogurt, red chutney, chopped onion, coriander, pomegranate seeds, chaat masala and kurkure.
6. Your Jhatkaydar Samosa Chaat is ready.
