STIR FRY CLAMS WITH THAI BASIL AND CHILI
A simple but so enjoyable dish.
This spicy clam
The thai basil adds color and compliments the unique flavor of a clams. It takes about 10 minutes to prepare.
To clean the clam:
First briefly clean, rinse and scrub the clams under running water.
In a large container,.add enough water and add at least 1 tablespoon of salt.
Soak the clams for about 2 hours.
Then rinse them under running water to remove any mud trapped inside the shells.
Wash and clean the clams for the last time.
Done cleaning.
Next, prepare all the ingredients needed to stir-fry the clams.
Ingredients :
1 pound Clams
4 pcs. clove garlic chopped
2 pcs. chili peppers (cut)
1 bunch thai basils
Procedure:
Heat up cooking oil in pan.
Then add in chopped garlic and chopped red chili pepper. Stir fry over medium heat until fragrant and garlic turns slightly golden brown. Add in thai basil leaves then stir gently.
Quickly add in clams and Stir fry until the shells of the clams turn orange in colour. The clam juice will start to come out, stir until all the clams open, in high heat. Lastly add salt to taste, stir and quickly remove from heat. Pick out the clams that don’t open and discard them.
Serve immediately
