Burmese Chili Paste to Pair with Vegetable and Rice

When there is no curry at home, I usually just eat plain rice with chili paste and some type of vegetable – steamed or raw. This type of chili paste is made to be spicy, so you only put or dip a small quantity of chili paste along with vegetable of choice in each handful of rice. You can eat it generously like a curry dish if you can handle the spiciness of it. This one I made is mildly spicy.

***One thing I should have added is a few cloves of garlic along with shallots.***
