Instant pot chili

The following video shows how to make chili in a instant pot. I used the slow cook function because i had 8 hours this day to make the chili. A pressure cooker option is possible however. Below shows the ingredients you will need along with a hand written step by step instructions.

What you need:
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 Tablespoon of minced garlic
1 – 2 medium yellow onion chopped
1 pound 90% lean ground beef
2 – 3 ish tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons ground cumin
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 -2 tablespoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper – or to taste be careful
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 1/2 cups of beef broth
1 can petite diced tomatoes 20 oz
1 can red kidney beans
1 can of tomato sauce 10 oz

Step by step.
1. add olive oil to instant pot on the sauté function, Mid/high, let warm for 3 ish min. This helps prevent sticking
2. Add beef and let cook for 5 -7 min breaking beef into desired clumps
3. then add onion and garlic
4. turn off the sauté function and press slow cooker option
5. add the remaining ingredites
6. let slow cook for 8 hours
7. once complete let cool before serving
8. I personally like to serve the next day for the best cast.
9. Enjoy
