So It’s snowing, winter mix outside…so I decided to make some chili in the power quick pot….my own recipe….a combo of the three bean chili and a chili recipe I seen on PBS tv station( I don’t remember which one)
2 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
a few carrots , diced
half green pepper, diced
teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 Tablespoon chili powder
pinch smoked paprika
salt and pepper to taste
2 can black beans drained and rinsed
2 cans white beans( great northern ) drained and rinsed
1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 can corn, drained
2 cans diced tomatoes
1 quart beef stock
2 cup chopped kale
Place inner pot in quick pot..push saute button.add some canola oil…brown ground beef
add chopped carrots, onions,green peppers,,,,( can add a chopped jalapeno)
add spices, mix
add beans, tomatoes, corn, beef broth
place lid on quick pot lock in place, make sure release valve is closed
push pressure button, custom, then timer for 10 minutes, push confirmed
let natural release pressure for 5-7 minutes , then release pressure
then take lid off and stir in the kale…( kale will wilt)
