The BEST Turkey chili
2 tsp olive oil
1 + 1/4 cup chicken broth
1 lb of ground Turkey
1 white onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
3-4 tbsp chili powder (depends how spicy you like it!)
2 tsp ground cayenne pepper
1 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp salt
1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes and their juices
1 cup of canned or frozen corn rinsed and drained
1 can kidney beans (14oz) rinsed and drained
1 can (14oz) black beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (14oz) white kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 red pepper chopped
Top with plain Greek yogurt, sliced green onions, cheese, jalapeño, avocado
1. Press the sauté function on your instant pot and let it preheat until it says Hot.
2. Add oil to hot instant pot, add ground Turkey and cook for about 5 minutes, breaking into small pieces
3. Add 1/2 of the chicken broth to help deglaze the pot
4. Press cancel, add remaining broth, onion, garlic, pepper, corn, beans, canned tomatoes and spices and DO NOT STIR!!(this is important to avoid burning)
5. Close the lid, set vent to sealing position and press pressure cook on high or manual mode for 15 minutes
6. After 15 minutes, carefully quick release the pressure
7. Serve with toppings!!
*** for stovetop option cook Turkey meat separately and add cooked meat and all ingredients to a large pot and simmer for 30-40 minutes!
