Hey family! In today’s video we’re trying a NEW soup recipe! Beefy Tortilla Soup! It turns out to be a new family favorite, and bonus, it’s really easy to make!

Ingredients
2.5 pounds ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
6 cups chicken broth
1 tablespoon oil
1 medium yellow onion, chopped
1 jalapeƱo, seeded and chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
2 cans tomatoes with diced green chiles, drained
1 1/2 cups milk
1 (15-ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 (16-ounce) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup sour cream
Toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, diced avocado, cilantro, lime wedges, corn tortilla chips
Directions:
Cook and drain ground beef. Add salt and pepper and set aside.
Heat oil in a skillet. SautƩ onions & pepper for 3 minutes, then add garlic and continue to sautƩ 1 more minute.
In a large pot add the chicken broth, chili powder, cumin, beans, tomatoes with chiles, milk, heavy cream, and sour cream. Mix well and bring to a simmer. Add the ground beef and onions and peppers. Stir and bring back to a simmer. Let it simmer for 20 to 30 minutes. Top with desired toppings!
