Chilli Dogs Recipe
INGREDIENTS
Hot dogs, as many for people
to serve
Hot dog buns, as many for
people to serve
1 Red Onion (Chopped)
American Mustard
Cheddar Cheese
Beef Chilli
250g Bacon (Slightly Diced)
500g Beef Mince
3 Garlic Cloves (Chopped)
1 Brown Onion (Chopped)
½ tsp Chilli Powder
1 tsp Cumin
2 tbsp of Honey
2 tsp of Tomato Paste
2x 400g Tin Tomatoes
METHOD
To make Beef Chilli:
Fry the Bacon with water until
crispy. Cook the Beef Mince
separately until browned, then do
the same thing with the onion and
garlic, once there brown, add the
beef, bacon, chilli powder, cumin,
honey, tomato paste, and tin
tomatoes. Let it simmer for 30
minutes, or for more flavour do it
for 2 hours.
Cook the Hot dogs and fry the Red
Onion:
Boil or fry Hot dogs for the required
time. Then Cooked the Red Onion
until nicely soft and brown.
Assemble:
Cut the bun in half slightly on the
top, add the hot dog, beef chilli, red
onion, mustard, and cheese. If you
have a gas torch, use it to melt the
cheese quicker.
