HOMEMADE Chili for Hot Dogs & SMASHED Potatoes on the Blackstone! | Southern Cooking VLOG

Hey family!! In today’s video plans keep changing! 🤣 The guys had a weekend camping trip planned, but the campsites don’t work out, so we have a campout at home! Well, a daytime/evening campout anyway. We all came back in to sleep! 🤣 For supper, we make some homemade chili dogs and smashed potatoes on the Blackstone!

Hot Dog Chili Recipe:
This is the original recipe; I didn’t have hot sauce or tomato paste so I adjusted to use what I had. 😁👍
Ingredients:
1.5 lbs Ground Beef
1/8 c Ketchup
1 tsp Hot Sauce NOTE: I didn’t have hot sauce, so I just added some red pepper flakes.
½ Medium Onion Minced
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1 tsp Onion Powder
½ tsp Worcestershire Sauce
3-4 c Water
½ tsp Paprika
Pinch Sugar
2 tbs Chili Powder
2 tbs Tomato Paste

Instructions:
Cover the ground beef with water and break up the meat completely. NOTE: I drained my ground beef, but the recipe didn’t say to. I has to add a little extra water since I drained it. Next, add the diced onion, Worcestershire, ketchup, hot sauce and spices and start on Medium High to bring to a rapid boil.
Reduce and simmer. Stir occasionally. Once the water has reduced stir in tomato paste.
