Meat, beans, and spices: it’s the simplest, easiest, best tasting chili recipe around. Try it and see. Below are the ingredients you will need.
2 tablespoon of olive oil ā extra virgin.
A tablespoon of pepper.
3 cloves of garlic ā minced
Half of a large onion, diced. You can use yellow or red.
A tablespoon of salt.
2 heaping tablespoons of brown sugar.
3 tablespoons of chili powder.
1 tablespoon of cumin.
¾ cup of beef broth or, if you prefer, you can use chicken broth.
A 15oz can of tomato sauce.
A 15oz can of Black beans ā drained.
1 15oz can of Red Kidney beans ā drained.
A pound to a pound and a half of ground beef.
Using a large pot, put in two tablespoons of olive oil, salt, pepper, minced garlic, and minced onions and cook everything on a medium to low heat for about 5 minutes, and make sure to stir it ever now and then. After that’s cooked down, add in the hamburger and brown it.
Once the hamburger is browned, add in the brown sugar, the chili powder and the cumin, and mix together. Next add in the beef broth, the tomato sauce, and the beans, and mix it together.
Then, bring it down to a low heat and let it simmer for about two hours. Make sure to stir the chili every now and then, so nothing sticks to the bottom of the pan.
Also, after about an hour, taste it; if you want a little hotter chili add in a tablespoon at a time until it suits you.
Finally, after about 2 hours, it’s ready to eat.
