Slow Cooker Recipe – Family-Favorite Chili
We all are suffering from an extremely hectic routine and that is why there are some days that we just do not have time to make dinner at dinner time and prefer to go out for junk food like pizza or burgers. But deep inside we know that it’s not the healthiest choice but it happens. People who aim for a healthy lifestyle, try their best to have healthy alternatives on hand, and for that, the best option is to cook something in the slow cooker.
By the way, have you ever tried Family Favorite Chili in the slow cooker or crock pot? No! ok, today’s recipe is all about a deep sea of flavors with the perfect combination of reddish kidney beans. Delicious and healthy, family favorite chili is everything you want in a meal.
Ingredients:
1. Ground Beef: 2 Lb Lean (At Least 80%)
2. Onion: 1 Large (Chopped)
3. Cloves of Garlic: 2 (Finely Chopped)
4. Tomatoes: 1 Can (28 Oz) Diced (Undrained)
5. Tomato Sauce: 1 Can (15 Oz)
6. Chili Powder: 2 Tablespoons
7. Ground Cumin: 1½ Teaspoons
8. Salt: ½ Teaspoon
9. Black Pepper: ½ Teaspoon
10. Kidney Beans: 1 Can (15 To 16 Oz) (Drained and Rinsed)
11. Cheddar Cheese: Shredded (If Desired)
Directions to Make:
1. Take a 12-inch skillet, add beef and cook over medium heat for at least 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly cooked.
2. Once done, spray the slow cooker with cooking spray and mix beef along with the remaining ingredients except for kidney beans and cheese.
3. Cover and cook on a low heat setting for 6 to 8 hours (or on high heat setting for 3 to 4 hours).
4. Stir in beans. If using a low heat setting, increase it to high.
5. Cover and cook for 15 to 20 minutes longer or until slightly thickened.
6. After that sprinkle individual servings with cheese.
Serve and enjoy.
