Chilli Chicken Recipe! 👇👇👇
Serves 3 to 4 people
Cooking time: 30 to 40 minutes.
Ingredients
-For the Chicken Marinade:
300 g Chicken breast
2 tbsp cornflour
1 tsp pf flour/maida
1 tsp of ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp apple cider vinegar or white vinegar
1.5 tsp liquid seasoning (I used knorr liquid seasoning)
-For the sauce:
1 large white onion
2 green chillies
1.5 tsp finely chopped Garlic
1 tsp cornflour
2 tsp balsamic vinegar
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp of sesame seeds
1.5 tsp tomato ketchup
1 tsp black pepper
Method:
To Marinate chicken:-
-Add ginger-garlic paste, corn flour, flour, kashmiri red chilli powder, soya sauce, lemon juice, salt and liquid seasoning
-Give it a good stir
-Drizzle some olive oil
-Mix again and keep aside.
-Let it rest for at least 40 minutes
To make the sauce:-
-Add oil in a wok.
-When the wok is slightly hot, add onions, green chillies and saute on medium heat.
-Add finely chopped ginger and saute till it’s light-golden-brown.
-Then add bell peppers, diced capsicum (green peppers) and fry for 4 to 5 minutes on medium heat.
-Then add soya sauce, liquid seasoning and some cornflour.
-Add water little by little and not all at once.
-Keep stirring while adding water.
-Add balsamic vinegar & let it simmer for few minutes.
-Add red chilli powder, black pepper, and sesame seeds.
-Add little water and stir lightly.
-Add ketchup and mix well.
-Then add garlic paste. Stir.
The sauce is ready!
-Fry chicken on medium heat till golden-brown.
-Remove onto a kitchen towel and keep aside.
-Bring the sauce back onto heat add schezwan seasoning of your choice.
-Then add fried chicken pieces. Mix well.
-Adjust the salt.
-Add fresh coriander and some diced capsicum.
The sauce and chicken will have come together very well!
-Just dry it a little more on high heat for 3 to 4 minutes.
Chilli Chicken is ready to be served!!
Garnish it with fresh coriander & roasted sesame seeds
