Crock pot I recommend: https://amzn.to/2Wszm4C

This Chili Recipe is truly an award winning chili recipe because it has won me 1st place two years in a row in chili cook off competitions at my work This chili recipe beat out 12 people in the 2011 chili cook off. I used the exact same recipe in 2012 and beat out 8 other peoples chili recipes in that chili cook off.

Here’s the Award Winning Chili Recipe:

I’ve omitted the taco seasoning. It’s not necessary.

– 1 can of kidney beans
– 2 cans of chili beans
– 1 jar of chili sauce (12 ounces)

– 1 medium onion chopped
– 1 green pepper chopped
– 1 Tbl mince garlic
– 3 Tbl chili powder
– 1 Tbl Cumin
– 1 Tbl black pepper
– 1 Tbl salt (or to taste)
– 1/2 Tbl tabasco (or to taste)

Directions:

  1. Made this repeatedly over the past couple years, ALWAYS gets great compliments. I have won contests with it…DELISH.

  2. Do you add the ground beef and pork sausage grease from the pan into the crockpot for flavor? Or drain each meat?

  3. Thanks! Great video.
Should you add the spices later on during cooking? Only most video's I've seen they add the cumin, chili powder and garlic granules etc right after browning the meat. And the odd video throwing spices in up to three quarters of the way through cooking.

  4. I’ve been making this since he posted the video. Everyone loves this chili! He’s the real deal.

  5. Chili doesn't have beans. Ugh.
Actual sanctioned chili cook off will DQ you for a single bean.
    Not chili.
    (Doesn't mean it isn't tasty!)

  6. Hey Jason, I love this Chili so much I'm making it for the second time this month since my best friend shared the recipe. The only thing is, you're missing the taco seasoning in the list of ingredients. Luckily I had it already but you may want to add that for those who copy the list for their pre-chili shopping trip. Thanks for sharing!

  7. I follow your recipe closely with a few exceptions. For meat, I use a pound of 🦬 and a pound of super lean smoked bacon. It is to dye for. Thank you for the inspiration!

  8. You know it has to be good when every review on this says it's great .I'm sold off to the store I go !

  9. I have to say I’ve been making this for a long time. Still my fav. I’ve entered work competitions with it where there was 20+ other contestants and I’ve placed 2nd place both times. Each year I only lost by 1 or 2 votes. The voting must be rigged šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Anyway this is my families favorite. Trying to think what I could do to push it over the top so I can win this year. Maybe add some cooked smoked bacon or smoke paprika.

Hate to mess with perfection cause to me its perfect blendā¤

  10. My family LOVES this recipe! I recently lost my recipe app (and all my documented recipes) and I insisted on searching again for your recipe! They won’t eat anything else.

  11. I add a teaspoon of cacao powder and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon as well. šŸ˜‰
