Easy Black Pepper Chicken Stirfry



Today, we’re making Black Pepper Chicken stirfry, a quick and easy dish best served with rice and perfect for a weekday dinner.

I think the most important ingredient is tomato ketchup – not very “Asian” but it’s the secret sweet tang that goes amazingly well with the black pepper.


Ingredients:

Chicken Marinade
– 300 grams Chicken cubed
– Marinade with:
– 1 tsp Light Soy Sauce
– 1 tsp White Pepper
– 1 tsp Cornflour or corn starch
– Black Pepper Sauce
– 3 tbsps of Tomato Ketchup
– 2 tbsp of Oyster Sauce
– 1 tbsp Light Soy Sauce
– 2 tsps of Sugar
– 2 tsps of Black Pepper (adjust to pepper taste levels)
– 2 tbsps of water
– 1 inch Ginger, sliced
– 1 Red Onion
– 2 cloves chopped Garlic
– Veggies
– Green and yellow bell peppers, and red chilli

  4. That black pepper sauce looks delicious! Have you ever tried ketchup with a ton of black pepper? I used to eat French fries in it when I was younger. You're sauce reminded me of that haha. I love this because I'm always trying to make new stir Frys and this looks sooooo good! Thanks for sharing!

  10. So i seen a lot of comments from people saying this looked so good but i haven't seen a comment (maybe there is) from anyone that actually made it. Well i have actually made it and it was excellent. I was actually making another recipe when a key ingredient that recipe called for i didn't have so i found this one and was quite surprised how good it was. I did have to change it every so slightly (it was supposed to hit -18F here and i really didn't want to go out). So anyways only had 1 red bell pepper which i did add. I decided to add celery cut on a bias. Like her i like more gravy so i added a little water at the end. I will be adding this to my recipe book that is for sure. So easy & so good.

  11. hmm this is more like chicken in tomato sauce; I still cannot find a real Black Pepper chicken recipe 🙁 The recipe I found is either tomato based or sweet soy sauce base. I remember eating Black Pepper chicken at my school a looooong time ago, and that was the best Black Pepper chicken I ever had. It is more like chicken with black pepper gravy. It doesn't taste like tomato based nor sweet soy sauce. It tasted more like creamy.

  13. I ordered this yesterday here in Newport, Oregon at my favorite Chinese restaurant, “Lee’s Wok.” It was delicious. But I had no idea it was this easy to make here at my house. I’m going to add 2 Tablespoons of black pepper. Looks like I’m going to have to order something else at Lee’s now. 😂
