Easy Pickled JALAPENO Pepper Recipe | Crisp and Crunchy Peppers

This pickled jalapeno pepper recipe is as easy as the banana peppers we pickled back in the fall. If you like a little heat then you’ve got it right here. The peppers come out perfectly crisp and crunchy every time. There’s no hot water bath to cook them in and you can make them in just a short amount of time. Almost as fast as the video. Enjoy!

  1. Sometimes I put cilantro or dill in the jar. It gives them a little different / interesting taste. And I slice them lengthwise because I’m too lazy to slice them like you do! Lol.

  2. mike: what's Sheila gone camera shy? ask Sheila how long the jars have to rest upsidedown before they are completed the process. i used to eat yellow pickled italian garden peppers but jalapeno is? my stomach is a little older than my eyes, but my brain ain't. cp. gramma called this method, quick pickles.

  3. Mike, you are one of my favorite youtubers. I'm new to gardening and thank you for sharing all your tips about gardening and aboutd life. You also answered a lot of questions that I have always been baffled about I gardening. I'm so glad I just found your channel today. Thank you.

  4. Hey Mike, last year I told you about my tomatoes. How I bought some large starts about 14" high and planted some in ground and by the time the season was almost ended I had equal production or more from those I had in ground. You said that would be a great video to do. I would love to see you do it! With at least one of each variety in the soil or started indoors or in a green house. I figured it was the transplant shock that equalized the whole thing.

  5. Mmmmmm Jalapeno peppersssss! Mike, I just subscribed and this is only the second clip I have watched and I'm in love already. (I don't mean in a literal sense)
I was paying a small fortune $3.80 AUD for a 200g jar of these from the supermarket unless you buy by the kilo then it works out cheaper.
No more, I've already bought a small plant and looking forward to pickling my own once I learn how to look after the plant. Thank you, keep these coming.

  6. I had no idea that when I was looking up info for my new shrubs (rhody PJM) that I would stumble across one of the best channels on YT! Happy to be here and happy to subscribe. Lovely family btw

  8. The highest concentration of capsaicin in a chili pepper is typically found in the placenta, or membrane, that holds the seeds, rather than the seeds themselves.

  9. My favorite store bought Jalapeno slices are Vlasik. I have been looking for a recipe to make my own since I can't seem to find them any longer. The only ingredients are water, vinegar, and salt. I just didn't know the amounts. I believe this is may be exactly what I'm looking for. It's ridiculous how many recipes and videos are out there that is loaded down with sugar.

  10. Do these stay bright green (raw) color or do they turn more of a olive? I love old elpaso pickled jalapenos and I'm trying to figure out how to make some similar. Thanks for the video

  11. I'm still pulling jars out of the fridge from last growing season and they are just as good and fresh as when I did them. Thank you for this recipe. I can't even eat the store bought ones anymore because these are so much better.
