Aphids? Spider mites? Worth saving?

These 2 pepper plants have been nothing but problems for me and I don’t know if they’re worth saving… which breaks my heart.

Started them indoors from seed a year ago under a grow light and it’s was super slow progress. I came to find out I wasn’t using a strong enough light. Got a better light and growth sped up but then I had a fungus gnats infestation that took a month at least to eradicate.

Denver, CO. Spent may preparing them for outside by increasing amount of time outside over the month, and finally outside full time on my balcony the weekend after Mother’s Day.

The rest of my plants are fine, but they were all plants I bought this year at the start of the season, not from seed.

I water once a week, I fertilize using the fox farm trio schedule once a week. The rest of my plants are doing great

Looks like it could be aphids or maybe spider mites? I’m a super noob and honestly don’t know. When I water, I use a few drops of dish soap, a practice I continued after the fungus gnats.

I’m worried about whatever is going on spreading to my other healthy plants and I’m not sure if they’re worth saving. I’ve invested so much time and learning into them.

Please help!

They dont look too bad. Wash down, spray with neem oil. Are you watering when needed or just once a week?

Looks like aphids to me from photos 6-8. Ideally you could take a zoomed in picture of them with a macro lens (or a jeweller’s loupe and normal camera phone) so we could confirm.

I get them every year without fail – they seem to love the jalapenos this year. A few of them won’t do much damage but if they’re left unchecked they will stunt the growth.

My solution this year has been live lacewings and parasitic wasps. It’s the first year I’ve managed to get aphids under control.

All you have too do to kill the aphids is spray your plant with pesticide. Those pests are very easy to control I always spray my plants before they have a chance!
