7 Bean Beef Chili/Prepper Pantry Clean Out/Using Expired Cans of Food/Waste Nothing/Keep Prepping!

Hello Friends, Today we have a 7 bean beef chili using those expired cans of beans and tomatoes. This chili was very delicious, we had some for dinner last night with some white rice and tortillas, YUM! We are trying to bring awareness to these best by dates…every single can we have opened has been perfectly fine. We ate all that tuna and it was good too! Any special plans for the weekend? Let us know what you plan on doing this weekend.

  2. Looks delicious!! I do a big batch in my crockpot and get about 12 single servings for my freezer. Lasts me through the cooler winter weather. Always good!! Take care. 💕

  3. Ashley, you are a force of nature! You just go for it, and I'm in awe! I'm so glad I found you both on here! Shabbat Shalom, my friends!! Yah be with you!

  4. He Ashley
Was holding my breath waiting for you to say I will rinse the cans. I see so many cooks saying they are on a budget but they never rinse the cans.
    So wasteful. Love you girls.
    Happy canning.

  5. We just had chili today. I put a jar of it in the freezer and put the rest in the fridge to eat on.

  6. I am a oh it’s expired ,even if a month,I am now embarrassed to say that because I’ve been “prepping for about a year now” . I see it in a new way thanks to you. I’m compulsive date checker so I rotate all things in my pantry. We like to can so thank you again. That chili looked delicious.

  7. Made a batch of spaghetti sauce, 7 jars (1 & 1/2 pint jars), from O.O.D. cans 08/22. [[ Friend ❤ having sauce he does not need to purchase.]] Got another set of cans, 04/22-05/22, needs to be reprocessed.
And mom made pasta with alfredo sauce jar from last year. 👍
Right now, have 4 qts of pot roast in the canner. 😊

  8. chili is so versatile , i make Dorito boats, chili cheese hot dog , mex. salid , even chimichangas . i just did that about a month ago always nice to see someone else doing it . thank you for a great video.

  9. Good way to use up what you have. I just canned 5 quarts of beets from our garden, canned 9 pints of spam and we had a bunch of cucumbers ready so tomorrow I'm canning pickles. Think I'll be making jam from our blackberrys in a few days. Got to keep stocking! God Bless!

  10. Like you, I cook my chili before canning it. I don't use nearly as many beans (personal preference) but add diced tomatoes, bell peppers and onions. I'll have to try Rotel. I like cheese and Fritos on top of mine (sour cream if I have any).

  11. Great idea on the chili beans. We used to do one that was two cans of Veg-all, two cans chili beans, two cans of tomatoes and two cans of rotel, two diced onions and two garlic with the hamburger. My mother in law did the recipe with ground turkey. I have also used deer meat instead. I would add a bit of cilantro in place of the cumin.

  12. Hi guys! It's Mrs. Countryboy! Sorry I've been gone about four months, my Mom passed away. I just wanted you to know that she was a big fan of your channel and enjoyed watching your videos so much. Now I'm just rolling with the changes and trying to get back on track with prepping. LOVED this chili video, now I need to get caught up on the others. It's good to be back! Take care and God bless you all ❤

  13. Looks amazing! I’m hitting up the farmers market for another lavender plant it’s called Melissa and it’s a light pinkish beautiful plant it’s amazing. I also plan to make more salve!!!

  14. Sometimes I wish I could leave more than a thumbs up! Anything my Mom made to use stuff up was prefaced as "kitchen sink" chili, caserole, etc….lol Great cooking and canning vid, as per usual!

  15. Your chilli looks amazing. I've got a few cans of beans and diced tomatoes i need to use up. I think I'll can some chilli!

  16. I find the best meals come from seeing what you have and making something with it. I keep recipes but often just use them as guide lines. Must get going with some meals in jars ready for the autumn.
So nice to have you back home and popping up the vids of your adventures and every day life.

  17. Those kind of meals are the best. Just open and reheat and you have a hot meal in mo time for those busy days..And I like lots of tomatoes on my chili too. In fact I like lots of tomatoes in all my food. i have to do the same with some of my cans but circumstances are not cooperating with me this year. Stay safe, stay well and God bless! Love you ladies

  18. Thank you for your recipes and encouragement. I have 7 trays of zucchini from my garden on the dehydrator right now and 4 big trays flash frozen to be vacuum sealed for the freezer. Been investing in freeze dried foods and making ready to eat meals in a jar. Keep doing what you can do everyone💕🙏

  19. My question is how did the beans hold up after a second canning? Very interested!! Wanting to learn. Also what is your process time?
