There are a ton of recipes on Insta and TikTok for birria that were made by people who have never eaten birria that wasn’t made from a recipe procured online. They don’t understand what the end result is even supposed to be, have only seen it in pictures from foodie blogs, and they end up helping propagate bad imitations of birrias and quesabirrias.
This is one of those.
