It’s my first growing season and I’m considering purchasing an affordable grow light so I can also grow in the winter (I don’t want to get to invested just yet). I came across this particular one (as shown in the images). Here’s the link to it, and I’ve translated the specifications for you since everything is in German.
Please tell me your opinion!

Blue light stimulates growth and promotes photosynthesis for fuller and more compact leaves.
Red 620-660 Nanometers
Red light promotes flowering and fruit formation.
UV 390-395 Nanometers
UV is beneficial for germination and sterilization.
IR 730-735 Nanometers
IR is beneficial for flowers and fruits.

“somewhat good” might be correct.
A couple of thoughts:
– this grow light will emit purple light. While there are no real differences for the plant between white and purple light, dealing with purple light is hella annoying for us humans. It just looks bad and is straining for our eyes. Therefore, I recommend going for a white/full spectrum grow light.
– 30 W is kinda low.
– Kaufland is a major retailer that does not specialize in plants. Because there are many, many absolute trash grow lights on the market, I would generally avoid large retailers like Amazon and Kaufland, since they don’t have the expertise or interest to buy and sell good products.
In Germany, there are a bunch of specialized online stores for “growing”, which basically means they sell everything you need to grow weed, with the exception of actual weed. They actually care about what they sell, and have the knowledge to pick good products. Head over to those shops (my go-to is grow-shop24.de) and take a look at their lights.
I would recommend a full spectrum LED Panel around 100W, which usually cost about €150. When selecting a model, look out for the exact LEDs used. You want to go for a panel that uses Samsung LEDs, they’re the best on the market and have the longest lifetime.
