QUARANTINE CUISINE- HOW TO MAKE CHILI CRISP- The most delicious thing EVER!

Hi there hungry ones!

Today I am going to teach you all how to make a delicious chili crisp, to make all your meals a bit more incredible!

RECIPE:
-30gr Chili Flakes of your choice (this is what will define how spicy your crisp is!)
-Vegetable oil, neutral taste and high smoke point is better, don’t use olive oil! You’ll need enough to cover your onions and/or shallots (I used around 400ml)
-3 red onions
-3 shallots
-1 head of garlic
Spices (you can do this by taste):
-3gr MSG
-3gr Salt
-6gr Sugar
-3gr mushroom powder
-Pinch of cumin
-Pinch of cinnamon

HOW TO:
To begin we will peel everything, and chop it all as thin and evenly as you can, you can use a food processor, a knife or a mandolin

Now put your shallots and onions in a cold, deep-pan, cover then with oil and turn the heat on high

In the meantime get yourself a metal strainer (don’t use plastic please or it will melt) and a bowl

when the onions and shallots turn golden brown you need to strain them fast otherwise they will burn.

It can take a while but keep your eye on it

When they look beautiful, strain and put the oil back in the pan to fry the garlic.

Put the chili flakes in the bottom of the bowl and strain the hot oil on top when the garlic is ready

Now you can season the crispy bits anyway you like!

When the oil is cool, mix everything well and store!
