I love canning chili and today I’ll show you an easy, basic recipe to follow so you can have delicious chili sitting on your pantry shelves, too! Here is a list of the ingredients and used and the measurements of each:
2 lbs lean ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
2 large cloves of garlic, minced
2 15 oz cans of diced tomatoes
1 15 oz can of crushed tomatoes
1 30 oz can of tomato sauce
1/4 c chili powder
1 (slightly less) tablespoon cumin
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp canning or pickling salt
