Is she too late to save? Droopy and dropping leaves.

We’ve had massive heat waves and humidity. Nothing below 96° for weeks. I tried shading with an umbrella and watering at night. Soil seems fine and the stem/stalk is still alive well and thoroughly. The leaves have been dropping daily now.

Only thing I’ve seen bug wise is an influx of ants since rain came a few days ago. I treated the bed with diatomaceous earth yesterday to help that problem (hopefully). Let me know if y’all have ideas please 😭

Check for aphids and give them shade and decent humidity might save some

Water in the early morning so that they have water during the day for photosynthesis.

  3. That guy looks overwatered or like his roots aren’t able to function (root rot, torn roots from wind, soil compaction, etc) The shade definitely won’t hurt. But peppers don’t usually drop leaves like that from being dry, and the leaves on the plant look soggy, not crispy
