How is one side of creamy jalapeno sauce 230 calories??

This makes no sense to me, how does it have the same calories as the Cheesy Fiesta Potato Cup? I love getting sides of creamy jalapeno to dip my burrito in but now I’m realizing I could just eat a whole other burrito for the calories in this little cup of sauce.

Because it’s all the oil…aka fat. Basically a salad dressing.

Shhhhh I didn’t need to know this. I get 2 every time. 😂

Go look up the calories by weight for mayonnaise and then compare that to potatoes. Fatty sauces, especially full fat ones, are no joke

(Generic potato is 77 calories per 100 grams, mayo is 680 calories per 100 grams)

It depends on how much they actually give you. The amount of Creamy Jalapeño Sauce used in a quesadilla is 80 calories worth. If you’re actually getting three times that much in the cup, then yes.. it’s going to be around 240 calories. But from my experience, you’re not getting nearly that much most of the time.

  5. That’s why I go for the nacho cheese…I like it better and it’s only 60 haha

Typically fat and oil is a very high calorie condiment. The sauce is probably full of fat, so the caloric value is sky high.

It’s a cream and mayo based sauce. Dairy is dense with calories, mostly from fats and proteins. If you’re counting calories, most sauces will destroy your numbers.
