Dehydrating & Rehydrating Leftover Vegan Chili: What Recipes Dehydrate Best? (Recipe Link Included)

This turned out so well! I hope you enjoy the video and get something good out of it.

Weeknight Life-Saver Chili: Cook a LOT of food, less than 15 minutes, WFPBNO Chili: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3Cu9_wtEKo&t=35s
This video is just shy of 6 minutes and walks you through the process for the chili. When I made it before doing this video, I used pinto beans instead of black beans. I didn’t mention in the video, but to achieve best results in dehydrating beans, it’s best to start with canned or pressure cooked beans.

  1. I like the the shape of the trays in the Nesco. The little lip makes it nice for more fluid products. I have an Excalibur and it’s been a work horse for 40 plus years. I do the rotating which seems easier than stacking types. Thank you for addressing the oil factor. I made guacamole in my FD and it was beautiful for about 2 months. But as you said it went rancid 😢 I’d like to try this recipe in the FD.

  2. I've often thought about dehydrating chili when I make it, but it gets eaten so quickly that I still haven't tried. It was nice to see how well it cooked up again on the small stove!
