Bless the Taco Bell worker that bestowed this on me. AND they remembered no tomatoes. It’s gonna be a good week, this chalupa is a sign.

I’ve never had a potato Chalupa. I’ve always been worried it would be too dry. A couple of years back, a friend was grabbing some Taco Bell before we met up to work on a project and I’d asked for just a couple of Spicy Potato Soft Tacos. She didn’t use the app then so she just ordered at the speaker and the person working at the time claimed to have no idea what a Spicy Potato Soft Taco was and told her they didn’t have anything like that but that they’d “try” to make it.
I ended up with two Crunchy Tacos filled with potatoes, sour cream, cheese, lettuce and tomato. They charged for Taco Supremes. They weren’t very good. Too dry and hard, but the potatoes weren’t great that day and the sour cream was just a thin whisper of a line.
Anyway, this looks good. I may try it soon.
Wow, I seriously don’t remember the last time I had a Chalupa shell that was fried to a perfect flaky, golden brown like yours! Feels like years! In the last few years I’ve received stale, hard, non-fresh Chalupa shells many times. That fact combined with how expensive Chalupas have become means I now only order them as an app Reward, when Taco Bell offers them as a special app promo or in the recently dearly departed $5 Chalupa Cravings Box.
Because of those recent free or cheap Chalupa opportunities, I have had a bunch of Chalupas in recent months. Thankfully they’ve at least been fresh lately, but they haven’t been left in the fryer long enough to get the perfect texture and color like yours in the picture.
That looks like the most perfectly fried chalupa shell of all time
I can’t imagine even trying to order a potato chalupa. If I ordered that at any of my local TBs, not only would they skimp me on the potatoes (it would technically be a normal portion of potatoes, but that’s not enough for a potato chalupa), but my shell would come undercooked as well
How did you even order that?
You’re going to want some fiber bread after all those carbs and starches or be ready for some constipation
That Taco Bell is really looking out for their customers lol
That’s a thicc bastard
It looks so good. Do you have an in at the taco bell or do you work there? Or maybe someone’s crushing on you there idk this is too good to not be sus
YOOO
Experiences like this are so blessed and rare that I tend to remember them long afterwards.
